The Power of Music...

I love Christian Rock Music.... let me say that again---- I LOVE CHRISTIAN ROCK MUSIC! I started really enjoying it in the last couple of years of my first marriage. It was a way for me to connect to God since formal worship had been a foreign element in my childhood. I always felt that hole, that empty place that needed to be filled, and somehow when I listened to this music, the hole seemed to fill up some. Going through my divorce, the music was a saving grace for me. Just when I thought I couldn't take anymore, I could get renewed through the music.

Third Day and Casting Crowns are my favorite bands. I love their messages, their strength, and, of course, their music. At this time where stress is at an all-time high and spirits are at a low, both of these favorite bands are performing in Orlando in the next 6 weeks. My friend Christine and I are going to Third Day. I am so excited! I think it will be odd to go see a praise band at the Hard Rock Cafe- but I can't wait!

I know it sounds simple- a band coming to town. But, in my world right now, where not one stress can be eliminated, I take it as a sign from God- time to take time for myself, Him, and some friends to renew and refresh. Take a deep breath and get through the next few months.
